Frequently Asked Questions

Is U.S. Cherry a regulated entity?

Yes, U.S. Cherry is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Registration with the SEC does not imply a certain level of skill or training but requires adherence to regulatory requirements designed to protect investors.

What does U.S. Cherry do?

U.S. Cherry provides automated investment management services, offering investment solutions tailored to clients’ risk tolerance and investment preferences.

Does U.S. Cherry custody funds?

No, U.S. Cherry does not custody client funds. Client investment accounts are held at independent custodians, such as Interactive Brokers and Charles Schwab. U.S. Cherry provides investment management services but does not hold or have direct access to client assets.

What are the risks?

All investments involve risk, including the potential loss of principal. Market fluctuations can impact investment performance, and past performance does not guarantee future results. Please refer to U.S. Cherry’s Form ADV Brochure for a description of risk factors for further detail.

How does U.S. Cherry differ from other investment firms?

U.S. Cherry offers a digital investment experience, managing client portfolios through an automated investment platform. Clients open accounts digitally and select an investment approach based on their risk tolerance and investment objectives.

How liquid is my capital?

Clients can typically add or withdraw funds within 1 to 5 business days, depending on transaction processing times. Withdrawals may take longer if assets need to be liquidated first. While funds are accessible, investments are subject to market conditions and settlement periods.

Can I use more than one investment approach with U.S. Cherry?

Yes, clients have the option to open multiple accounts within U.S. Cherry. We currently offer four account types:

Cash Yield Account: Designed for clients seeking a yield-focused approach through investments in treasury ETFs.

Automated Investment Account: A fully managed portfolio aligned with the client’s investment strategy and risk profile.

Crypto Account: Provides exposure to digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum through ETFs.

Bond-Only Account: Focused on fixed-income investments through diversified bond ETFs.

What happens if my account is denied?

We recognize that an account denial may raise questions. The account review and approval process at U.S. Cherry involves an evaluation based on our internal criteria, as well as an independent review conducted by our custodians, Charles Schwab and Interactive Brokers. These custodians apply their own compliance checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of submitted information.

If your account is denied, we recommend reviewing all submitted documents to ensure they meet the necessary requirements. While clients may reapply in some cases, continued denial after multiple attempts indicates that the custodian or U.S. Cherry has determined that the account does not meet the applicable criteria. In such cases, no further action can be taken.

Account approval is at the sole discretion of both U.S. Cherry and its custodians. Some decisions may be reconsidered if circumstances change, but others—especially those based on regulatory or risk-based factors—may be final.

What Are the Withdrawal Hold Periods for Funds?
